I healed my sleep

Last night, as I was going to bed, I was sitting with my phone thinking “no, you can’t look at your phone, else you can’t sleep”. Then another voice said “don’t worry about that, you’ve healed your sleep, so go ahead, look at your phone if you want to”. This made me stop and think back a little. When did I start healing my sleep? I remember starting it and realised it was only about 6 months ago, that I said to my coach: I am tired of having sleep issues and believing that I will always have sleep issues. We then worked on my belief system around sleep and very soon after, I had changed my perspective on sleep to “I love sleep and it comes easily to me”.

Let’s talk about food and nutrition. There is no way around it. Taking good care of yourself also means treating your body with self care. It can be so hard to find out what is right to eat, but don’t worry, there is a way. And a great bonus from eating better is that you will feel great and potentially prevent and even reverse disease.

Burning out and getting real

Looking back, I believe, it all started when I went back to work after having my first child. Boy, would I have done things differently, if I had known what I know today.

I think the problem is that we, women, put so much pressure on ourselves to be the perfect wife, worker and mother that subconsciously we make choices that are less than optimal for our health. Our minds and bodies can only withstand so much before it lets us down and crashes.

How to stay healthy during the Holidays!

I love this time of year! Christmas lights are out and kids are getting excited about Santa! It is the time for joy and being with loved ones.

However, it is also the time for challenges to our health. Christmas is often the time where we let ourselves go and eat whatever we want and forget to take care of ourselves.
